Responsibilities:
- Office Overview:
Nurse Practitioner and Chiropractic office.
To our knowledge, we offer the most effective treatment in NW Ohio for non-healing diabetic wounds, peripheral neuropathy and insulin resistance reversal.
We are also seeing patients needing mental health and chiropractic services.
We are a growing practice with some slow times, but most of the time busy and multitasking.
Note:
This position is in a small office.
A good work ethic and good health are absolute requirements, which translates into not missing work.
A good past work record must be provided.
- Review and verify medical documentation for accuracy and completeness - Assign appropriate medical codes of procedures and diagnoses using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems - Submit diagnosis, procedures, and notes to the billing company - Greet patients, answer phone.
make appointments - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and billing information - Answer patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance coverage based on the insurance verification - Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate coding and billing practices - Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations - Be able to multitask between front desk appointment scheduling and greeting and data entry/insurance
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and billing procedures - Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems - Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems - Experience with medical collection processes is a plus Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes - Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Effective communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers Note:
