Sunshine Communities, Inc.
is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Northwest Ohio supporting individuals with developmental disabilities through residential, vocational, clinical, therapeutic, and recreational services.
These services are offered in various circumstances including at our Maumee, Ohio campus and at homes within the community.
In addition to programs on campus, Sunshine individuals and staff operate Georgette's Grounds and Gifts, a coffee shop and fair trade gift store located in downtown Maumee.
Right across the road lies Sunshine Studios, an art studio space and gift store offering classes to individuals and the community.
SUMMARY Facilitates day to day operations of Art Studio.
This includes direct services to artists, working retail sales, and teaching classes.
Qualifications:
Experience and ability with a variety of artistic mediums.
Clay, sewing skills are required; others skills such as painting, glass, weaving is preferred Teaching experience required Retail experience preferred Art degree preferred Previous supervisory experience preferred Previous experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Desire to learn from current Studio Manager and move into that position as part of succession plan.
Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen and physical Delivering training and teaching.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and an Art degree preferred.
Demonstrated experience in a previous supervisory leadership role preferred.
Previous experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Teaching experience preferred.

Work with individuals on daily production; ongoing teaching of new skills and techniques Develop a variety of craft activities for individuals to work on Document services and goals for individuals supported Demonstrate knowledge of individual needs outlined in person centered plans Teach a variety of classes ranging in size from 6 - 20 people this will primarily be evenings and Saturdays Work closely with Studio Manager on the retail business operations.
Including but not limited to ordering supplies, interacting with customers, new product development, identifying outlets for sale of products Registering and working at community art shows, this is primarily evening and weekends Exposing Studio artists to ongoing opportunities to further art education though trips to the Toledo Museum of Art or other venues

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
