Product Engineer

The Product Engineer is responsible for application analysis, feasibility, design, development, cost estimation, process flow, and the launch of custom spring elements and spring assemblies.
In addition to the maintenance and creation of engineering specifications and standards for FMC Industrial products.
Project assignments are based on the engineer's experience and competency in spring design, as well as fluency in internal engineering applications and processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Entry Level Engineer Review spring element customer specifications and applications to determine feasibility and ensure recommended solutions support customer needs and expectations.
Interface with suppliers to determine costs and communicate quality expectations for spring element opportunities.
Create 3D Models, detailed drawings and specification documents as required on a project basis.
Provide technical support for new product expansions and spring element productivity projects.
Maintain and setup product information in the company ERP system.
Seasoned Engineer Design and develop spring assemblies from concept through commercialization and ensure quality, cost, production, timing milestones and customer-specific requirements are delivered.
Collaborate with the commercial team to establish target costs.
Drive the APQP process, including creation of Control Plans, FMEA, Process Flow, and DVP&R.
Ensure all liability and regulatory compliance aspects are mitigated through appropriate design features and countermeasures.
Generate Bills of Material, cost analyses, and setup product information in the company ERP system.
Create fully featured 3D solid models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings.
Maximize profitability of new products through process, quality, and cost improvements.
Interface with domestic and international supply chain to ensure design requirements are achievable and roadblocks regarding materials and processes are resolved in a timely manner.
Continuously innovate, wherever practical, to advance AS Raymond's intellectual property.
Build functional prototypes and interface with process engineering, as required during launch.
Provide engineering support for productivity initiatives on spring assemblies.
All Levels Communicate project status with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance to current ISO/TS 16949 quality system.
Provide guidance and direction to engineering interns on a project basis.
Perform all other assignments as requested by management.
