38 an hour Clinical duties:
taking medical histories and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during the examination.
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens or perform basic laboratory tests on the premises, dispose of contaminated supplies, and sterilize medical instruments.
They also arrange examining-room instruments and equipment, maintain supplies and equipment, and keep waiting and examining rooms neat and clean.
Training, qualifications and advancement At least 2 years of Administrative and Clinical experience Applicants need a high school diploma or the equivalent.
Prefer graduates of formal programs in certified medical assisting.
Able to deal with the public; therefore, must be neat and well groomed and have a courteous, pleasant manner and have excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to put patients at ease, identify when a patient is in duress and explain physicians' instructions appropriately.
