Rolf Park Pool Manager/Seasonal DEPARTMENT:

Public Service Director P OSITIONS SUPERVISED:
Assistant Pool Manager, Lifeguard, Admission/Concession Attendant POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for managing daily operations at the Rolf Park Pool to include admissions, concessions, cleaning, maintenance, lifeguard, rules, regulations, swimming lessons and employees.
Assumes direct responsibility for purchasing supplies, staff scheduling, training lifeguards, maintaining required certifications, and adhering to maintenance schedules.
Responsible for reporting major repair and maintenance needs to the Public Service Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES 1.
Assumes responsibility for a wide variety of Rolf Park Pool activities and functions.
a.
Hiring, scheduling, training, certifying employees throughout the season as necessary.
b.
Scheduling, performing, and tracking regular pool cleaning and maintenance.
c.
Providing excellent customer service to the Citizens of Maumee who utilize the pool.
d.
Ensures the Pool and equipment is clean, in working order, and well maintained.
e.
General maintenance activities and functions to keep Rolf Park Pool property looking well cared for such as:
irrigation, weed-eating, litter control and building cleanliness.
b.
Adapts to changing conditions and seasonal requirements.
d.
Completes assigned functions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
e.
Maintenance needs and problems are promptly identified and resolved or reported.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relationships with City personnel and management.
a.
Assists other personnel as needed.
b.
Keeps management informed of activities and any significant problems or maintenance concerns.
c.
Attends and participates in meetings as required.
3.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
a.
Performs miscellaneous and special requested tasks.
b.
Completes assigned training.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High School Diploma or GED, must be a certified Lifeguard (includes first aid, CPR and AED), Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor through the American Red Cross.
Certified Pool Operator license or ability to obtain quickly.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1 year of experience in Pool Management or a leadership role at Pool, or as a lifeguard preferred.
1 year of experience in supervision, preferably in pool or recreation.

Medium work; exerting up to 50lbs occasionally and 10 lbs constantly.
WORKING CONDITIONS Must be able to work under potentially hazardous conditions including chemical exposures, electrical current, moving machinery, exposure to blood, etc.
